Ever since Answer Me This ended last year, I've had many readers request that I just start it up again on my own. I'd thought about it, but recently came up with my own twist on the concept that I was planning to begin in the summer. However, now that Kendra is starting her party up again for a limited time, I'll put my plans on hold until summer's end. Look for updates on my new project as the summer draws to a close - and maybe some of my Answer Me This friends will even come join me when I get it going!
1. What's currently on your To Do list?
Soooo much, seeing as how we just pulled into the garage last night after camping for a month. We were so pooped from the drive, we just left everything in there (including the rain-soaked tents and tarps - bet those are going to smell lovely this morning) and so far this morning, G and I have both avoided going out and opening the passenger doors - especially because things are so jammed in there, we can't open them without piles of items tumbling out on top of us!
Once we unload it all, we'll need to set it all up again in the backyard to spray down and dry before we can put it all away...then there's the month's worth of laundry...and mail to go through....and bills that need paying...and all those emails....
It's gonna be fun around here these next few days! {grin}
2. Better type of superhero: magic/radioactive powers? Or trauma/gadgets/hard work?
I've never really been all that interested in being a superhero, but I have always wished that I could just wiggle my nose like Samantha Stevens...
3. Finding out if baby is a boy or a girl before birth: Good idea? Bad idea?
It's up to you!
We had to have one ultrasound halfway through to make sure things were still as they needed to be in order to deliver at our birth center (well, that's after we fired my doctor) and figured if we found out then, fine, if not, fine.
The tech said we had a girl, but we didn't totally trust that assessment and just kind of loosely told people girl when they asked.
We didn't really come up with boy names, though.
4. Have you ever appeared on a stadium jumbotron?
Probably, when I skated my program as the mascot for the '92 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, because I know a clip of it showed up on ABC's Wide World of Sports. But since I was dressed in a fuzzy gator costume (if we hadn't been driving back to town the past few days, I would have asked my mom to scan in a photo of it), you couldn't see my face and just knew it was me (see this movie, or read the lines from the scene here to get the gist, which is based on an actual experience Zach Braff had with my mom and a discussion of the photo of me I'd have had her scan), so I don't know if that really counts...
5. Are you more book smart or more street smart?
Book smart, although that's limited to whatever I'm currently obsessed with/reading and learning about and even then, my 5-second memory cannot be relied upon for more than, "I just read about that subject and there was something really cool I learned about some part of it..."
6. Have you had that baby yet? (Feel free to skip this one if it's not applicable to you.)
This isn't applicable to me, but when it was, people were constantly asking me this question - and assuming that I was just SO over being pregnant and anxious for her to arrive (she came 2 weeks after the midwife's last due date in her "due date range").
Although I wasn't one of those individuals who thinks it's a blast to be pregnant, I was definitely in no hurry for her to arrive and perfectly content to let her keep baking away in there for as long as she wanted...
