Welcome back to another year of Latticed Learning!  This year, we'll be continuing to learn while we play - repeating many of our favorites from last year while adding in all sorts of new activities as well.

My plan is for this day's post to be devoted to our weekly Bible stories - some weeks have more activities than others, but each lesson will help your little one grow closer to God!

Read the Bible

Pages 7-13 in this Bible and 3-9 in this one

Read a Little More

We think books are the best around here, so it's always fun to discover great new titles:

Sing Some Songs

Find some great songs here and here to sing on your own, follow along with these cuties, or try this:

Watch Some Videos

This video combines creation with Adam and Eve, but it's one of Gv's favorite things to watch!

Play and Create

We repeated lots of things we did last year to learn about the days of creation, then added in a few new activities, as well.

We collected things to represent what God made each day in our Creation Box:

We ate something special for each day, which you can read all about here.

We added a new page every day to our Creation Book.

I printed out this adorable mini flip book (scroll down to find it), punched a hole in the corner of each page, and stuck it all on a ring (a plastic one I'd had in my classroom, but you could use one like this) so that Gv could have something handy to carry around and refer to.  This was such a hit, I'm planning to use this idea for every week I can and then keep all the ring books in a basket.

I shrunk these cute pages down to 50% before printing them out and sticking them in a 5x7" photo album from the dollar store.  We use these albums not only for print-outs like this, but also to keep all of our memory verse cards in.

We put these sequencing cards up on the fridge all week and held each one up there with a number magnet.  Gv spent time each day retelling the story.

I printed out these coloring pages and we did use them, but I only printed out the birds, fish, and animal pages.

We also discovered some new things to do:

We played memory with these cards before Gv taped one set up on the wall in the proper order. (scroll down to the "Creation Foldable" graphic)

I couldn't resist the colorful graphics in this amazing pack, so we ended up posting the sequenced days in just about every room of the house:

And two other great resources I found, but didn't use (not enough time in the day!) were these number visuals (& song) and this creation preschool pack.

What's your favorite thing that we did this week?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
