Project Snapshot - August 2019

Each month, Project Snapshot captures memories from the past weeks - either with a camera, words, or both.

Time passes in the blink of an eye - see which treasured memory will join the year's collection for this month:

My Snapshots

What have we been up to this past month? Take a look and see:

We returned from this summer's massive road trip and Gv wanted to start back in with school.

The next day.

Um, let me just add that to my list of fourteen bazillion things to do to clean up after the tornado that is otherwise known as we-were-gone-for-5-weeks-and-camped-in-a-tent-the-whole-time-and-just-emptied-the-car-and-dumped-everything-on-the-living-room-floor.

She continued to beg and, gosh, it's awfully hard to resist that little voice begging to learn, so the first week of August (which technically started in July!) saw us diving back in to our Latticed Learning time, which is our version of "school."

To add to the fun of this photo, she's wearing a dress that was mine when I was a kid!

Gv earned a slew of new Jr. Ranger badges and patches this summer, so she was anxious to buy some new ribbon to put them on to display.

Here are all the ones she earned on our trip this summer!
And here are all 120 that she's earned so far! (Well, as many of them as I could get to fit in the photo.)

Another school year also means a new season of 4-H. Our club had its informational meeting for prospective members and Gv spent some time answering questions behind the project table.

We've been having some car issues (did you read about our summer trip adventures?) and so one day, I had to trade cars with G to go to work. Gv skated her little legs off while I was there (gosh, it's great to have every day be "take your kid to work day!"), and when I pulled into the garage, this is what I saw when I turned around:

Well, now, that's one way to ride...

I guess she got enough exercise that day!

And that pretty much wrapped up our month! I wonder what wonderful memories next month will bring?
