It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 of the best musical dance numbers from movies and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And if you've posted your own 5 After 5 list on your blog, I've turned this series into a link party - so be sure to get your own 5 things added below (or leave your answers in today's comments if you're not a blogger).  I loved reading everyone's comments from last week and I really can't wait to see what you share today!

List 5 of  your favorite things to eat for breakfast

I've said before that I'm not a big fan of breakfast, but there are at least five somewhat-breakfast-like (or not) foods that I do like to eat on a regular basis:

1.  Granola with Yogurt

I try to constantly have a batch of this granola on-hand at all times.  It not only serves as a pretty standard breakfast around here, but can also tame a two-year-old's hunger like nothing else in the afternoons ("Nola with yogret, please!")

We like it best mixed in with some thick, homemade yogurt.

I used to make these protein bites for breakfast a lot more often, but lately we've been craving them for dessert, so that's what they've turned into.

Unless we're camping, because then they're an awesome treat to fuel us up for some nice, long hikes in the mountains.

3.  Smoothies

Ah, the hodge-podge of the liquid nourishment world - or at least that's usually the case when I make them.

I typically throw in whatever my eye lands on first when I open up the fridge & freezer in the morning.

Unless I spy some homemade applesauce, because then you can pretty much guarantee that I'll be making this.

4.  Leftovers

I can't think of a single thing I wouldn't be just as gung-ho to eat the next morning for breakfast as I was the night before, but something like this pizza probably tops the list of what I crave.

5.  Bread & Cheese

Or heck, just cheese...

In my book, cheese is always an acceptable meal, and breakfast is no exception.

This cheese is currently my favorite, although I also like to chunk out a section of Brie when it's around - especially with some yummy homemade croissants...takes me back to some of my favorite breakfasts overseas.

For next week:

List 5 of your favorite household tasks

Inspired by a recent post over at Guilty Chocoholic Mama, I started thinking of the five things I love doing the most as a wife and a mom...which also inspired what will most likely become the following week's list: 5 of your least favorite household tasks.

What's your list?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.

Yummy! Granola and yogurt is a favorite of mine too... and smoothies... love that you'll just have cheese for breakfast sometimes! ;P
Awww...thanks for the sweet shout-out! You = the best. (Insert heart emoticon.) And thank you for giving me permission to make a "least favorite household chores list"! Can't wait to get started...on the list, not on my least-favorite chores. ;)
Yum! I loved eating feta cheese, olives, and bread for breakfast when I traveled in Turkey in my pre-kids days. My kids would't like that, but they would enjoy your protein bites - Yum! Thanks for sharing with the new Everything Kids link & pin party.

Your Turkish breakfast sounds right up my alley, Heather! I'll have to ask G if he ever had that for breakfast one of the times he traveled there. I hope you have a chance to try the protein bites - I'd love to hear what your kids think! Thanks for stopping by to say hello today!
Oh, I love smoothies in the morning! And, some of your other options looked good too.
I found your post today on 100 Days.
Hope you have a blessed day~

Yes, you should definitely try a smoothie for breakfast! That's what we're having this morning (& yesterday was leftover pizza!) Thanks for stopping by to say hello, Jessica!
I am a super picky breakfast eater. I have to have a staple breakfast food first (cereal, bagels, granola, toast, eggs, etc). Even if I sleep until 1 p.m., I refuse to eat a lunch type of food until I have breakfast.

Just letting some of my weirdo out here... haha!
I need to make more smoothies. I was on a roll and then took a break. I love the idea of bagging up & freezing so I can quickly grab to blend a quick smoothie. Pinned & shared. Thanks for joining in to share at the Inspiration Spotlight party. See you again soon!

We had a cold snap down here, so we took a break the past week or so, too. Thanks for the pin and share and for always hosting such a fun party!
smoothies are our favourite at the moment - we love finding new recipes and mixing it up, and I always have time for cheese (I may have mentioned it once or twice last week :p) I love the look of those protein bites #YumTum

Hahaha, Charlotte, yes, I remember that you shared my love for cheese. Glad you're enjoying your smoothie kick - we've taken a break from ours the past 5 days because we had a cold snap here (although you'd probably laugh if I told you what the temperature was that I considered "cold"), but today we're back up into the 80s, so I know we'll be back on our smoothie kick tomorrow morning. Thanks for saying hi today!
