It's time for another round of 5 After 5!  In case you missed it, last week's list was 5 things on your spring bucket list and if you're new to this series, you can read more about it here.

Today I've got my list of 5 to share, as well as next week's topic for you to stew about over the upcoming days.

And this series is now a link party, so be sure to scroll down and join in all the fun with us this week!

List 5 desserts you love to eat

Mmmm, sweet treats!  There are so many different types, so I can't wait to see which ones you like best!

Although our family's teeth aren't as sweet as most, we still enjoy our daily dose of desserts (just with a little less sugar).  I'm not big on pie or cake, but I definitely like:

1.  Chocolate

I've already shared which chocolates are my favorites here

Some nights, I'm not in the mood for a big dessert (or, more likely, we've run out of whatever I've most recently baked and I'm too lazy to make something else), so I'll just have one small square of chocolate before heading off to dreamland.

2. Brownies

Sometimes I like to get creative and make brownies out of things like quinoa and avocado, black beans, or even banana bread (you've got to try this yummy recipe!), but I'm also always up for a good old pan-full of plain brownies, too.

3.  Cookies

Cookies are probably our favorite dessert to have hanging around, especially because the ones I make are generally pretty healthy, like carrot cake cookies, fruity chocolate oat cookies, or better-for-you black & white cookies - or they make use of yearly mega-hauls of freshly-picked strawberries or blueberries.

But I think my favorite cookies is anything of the chocolate chip variety.  My friend Elizabeth over at Guilty Chocoholic Mama recently wrote a series for Chocolate Chip Cookie Week that will keep me busy for weeks to come - I can't wait to try some of her recipes out myself!

4.  Cheesecake

Cheesecake is not only one of my favorite things to eat, but it's one of my favorite things to make.  I just love coming up with new flavors to match my mood or a particular holiday (I don't like pecan pie, but I do like making pecan pie cheesecake...or eggnog cheesecake...or pumpkin pie cheesecake...gosh, now I want some cheesecake...).

Cheesecake is another great way to make use of all the strawberries and blueberries we get when we go picking!

Have you tried my low-sugar strawberry cheesecake yet?  You need to, trust me!

5.  Gelato

Gv's first gelato - not in Italy, but on our first summer campout

Really, any ice cream will do, but if I have a choice, I'll choose gelato over boring ice cream every time!

I love this stuff - and no trip to Europe is complete without at least one sampling, even if it's 30 degrees outside and snowing!

On one trip to Rome, I even decided to make a gelato-hop my dinner. (Not the most nutritious choice, I know, but it certainly was a delicious meal!)  Yup, a different sampling from five different gelato shops, all near the Trevi fountain.

A cold, rainy honeymoon day in Italy?  Still the perfect time for gelato!

For next week:

List 5 of your favorite comedies

Which movies give you the biggest chuckle, those you can always count on for a laugh?  I really like silly movies, so I can already tell this week will be difficult for me to narrow down!

And now, here's this week's link party!  Two other fabulous bloggers have teamed up with me to create lists of five each week and we hope that you'll join us, too!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our three blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow each of the three hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
